High Security Shredders are crosscut shredders with
a security level 5 or 6.
The 250 S5 is one of Acco
Rexel’s Level 5 security shredders. This machine is
able to destroy up to 9 top secret documents in a single pass
shredding them into very tiny 0.8x11mm pieces at a very fast speed
of 8.5m a min.
These particles are unreadable and cannot be put
back together again.This high security level shredder is perfect
for shredding top secret documents and is typically used by government
agencies and departments, the military and any large businesses
who want to guarantee absolute privacy.
The easy to use 250 S5 shredder is designed for
any office environment ideally up to 4 users. Security level 5
or DIN 5 .
(Security levels are measured in DIN levels which
stands for "Deutsche Industrie Normierung" or “German
Industry Standard". The official levels range from 1 - 5
with 1 being the least secure and 5 being the most secure. As
a rough guide level 3 is usually adequate for most requirements.
High Security shredders are now advertised by the German manufacturers
HSM and IDEAL (at security level 6 ) and although this level has
not yet been ratified as an official standard it has been approved
by the American "Department of Defense" – American
spelling.)

bin and small shred sizes means that it is able to hold a large
amount of shredded documents before the shredder bag needs emptying.
